Read Pèl & Ploma
In this section, you can read all the texts the guest authors have written for the first season of Pèl & Ploma, the podcast from the MNAC and Biblioteques de Barcelona that blends art and literature. Each author chooses one piece at the MNAC and writes a text inspired by it. Then, in front of the piece, they chat with an expert from the Museum. These texts include unpublished poems by Pol Guasch inspired by Charles Clifford’s photograph The sea wall and the fortress of Montjuich (Barcelona); a story about success at all costs by Maria Climent based on the life of Suzanne Valadon, featured in the painting On Campaign by Santiago Rusiñol; a reflection on artificial intelligence by Jorge Carrión, based on the Sant Climent de Taüll paintings; El missatge (The Message), a revised text by Raül Garrigasait related to Juli González’s sculpture Cactus Man I; and finally, an excerpt from the story Els meus tancs (My Tanks) by Carlota Gurt, inspired by the poster Feu tancs! by Martí Bas.
